Teach with the material we ship

Engineer-reviewed interview and systems material, licensed per cohort for vocational programs, community colleges and trade instruction. Prices are published below, from $595 for 25 seats. You do not have to email anyone to find out what it costs.

01 · What a seat covers

Three shipped products, licensed for your cohort

A seat license covers the products below for every enrolled learner in the cohort, and for the instructors teaching it. All of it exists today as sold product; the license adds the right to teach with it and hand it out. Nothing here is a promise of future content.

  • The DCP Answer Model as a grading rubric: its 8-move answer structure, plus the scoring dimensions shipped with the question bank, so learner answers can be assessed against a stated standard.
  • The free 25-question sample stays unrestricted handout material. Instructors may hand it out freely, before or after any purchase.

Want to evaluate the material first? The 25 free questions are the real sample · the same depth and format as the 232-question licensed bank, not a crippled version.

02 · Who it's for

Programs that place people in facilities

The material assumes no prior data center experience and is written vendor-neutral and safety-aware, which is exactly the fit for:

Vocational & trade programs

Electrical, HVAC and mechanical tracks whose graduates interview at data centers.

Community colleges

IT, facilities and mission-critical certificate programs building job-ready cohorts.

Independent instructors

Trainers preparing candidates for operations and construction roles.

Honest fit note: this is interview and systems-literacy material, not a substitute for accredited technical curriculum or safety training.

03 · Pricing

Why you need this at all: every package on this site ships a Personal Use Licence that explicitly prohibits classroom, cohort, employer, library, school and institutional distribution without a separate written license. This is that separate written license. It is issued as a document naming your institution, your cohort, the seat count and the term, and it is the only thing that makes handing the material to a class permitted.

What the license permits

  • Use by enrolled learners at one institution, up to the seat count purchased, in one intake or across several.
  • Instructor use by the staff teaching that cohort. Instructors do not consume seats.
  • Distribution of the covered files to those enrolled learners through the institution's own systems: a learning platform, a shared drive, or printed handout.
  • Printing, projection and classroom display of the materials for teaching that cohort.
  • Assessment of learner answers against the shipped rubric and scoring dimensions.
  • Use by each learner of their own completed answers and sanitized evidence in their personal career preparation.

What it does not permit

  • Resale, public upload, file sharing, sublicensing, or removal of rights notices.
  • Use to train, seed, or substantially reproduce a competing commercial product.
  • Distribution beyond the named cohort. Other cohorts, campuses, departments, institutions, employers and libraries must be licensed separately.
  • Representation that the materials confer certification, academic credit, employment, competence, or authorization to perform live work.
  • Onward redistribution by a learner. A learner's copy is for that learner's own study.

Term

Up to the licensed seat count at one institution, 12 months from the issue date, renewable. At the end of the term the right to distribute to new learners stops. Learners who received the materials during the term keep the copies they were given, under the same restrictions. Renewal is at the tier price published at the time of renewal, which may differ from the price paid.

Refunds are the same 30 days, no conditions, that every purchase on this site carries, per the refund policy.

Price integrity

A cohort license is a volume price for an institution, never a cheaper side door to the same downloads for one person. Every tier costs more than buying the covered products individually ($167), and the smallest tier costs more than the largest single purchase in the catalog ($399, the Complete Career Library). Per learner the rate is lower, from $17.95 at 100 seats, which is what a volume license is for. Those rules are checked when this page is built, not just written here.

04 · How ordering works

Four steps, no quote step

RUNBOOK · DCP-EDU · Cohort license order

  1. Pick a tier. 25 seats $595, 50 seats $995, 100 seats $1,795. The price shown is the price invoiced: for these tiers there is no quote step and nothing to negotiate.
  2. Send the order. The button fills the tier, the seat count and the price into an email and opens it in your own mail client, addressed to info@datacenterprep.com. You keep the copy.
  3. We issue the invoice for that exact amount and the Institutional Use Licence naming your institution, your cohort and the seat count, then send the files and the instructor material.
  4. Terms stay plain: Up to the licensed seat count at one institution, 12 months from the issue date, renewable. No seat-tracking software, no lock-in, no annual minimum.

Outside the published tiers

Anything the tiers do not cover is still scoped by email, and is priced against the same published ladder rather than invented per conversation:

  • More than the largest published tier, or several departments at once.
  • A multi-year term, or a renewal cycle tied to your academic year.
  • A purchase order, vendor onboarding, or invoicing terms your finance office requires.
  • Products from the catalog other than the ones a seat license covers.
