It covers Operate (run live sites), Build (construct capacity) and Engineer (design and commission) roles with role-tagged interview questions, model answers, and vendor-neutral systems knowledge. Data centers power the digital systems people use every day, but the path into the industry is often unclear. Job titles vary. Requirements vary. Interviews test a mix of hardware, power, cooling, operations, safety, documentation, and judgment.

DataCenterPrep exists to make that preparation clearer. We create practical interview question banks, fundamentals training, role guides, and preparation tools for people entering data center work from IT, trades, facilities, military, school, or non-traditional backgrounds.

The goal is simple: help candidates understand the environment, learn the vocabulary, practice the questions, and prepare with more confidence.

Who runs this

Founder-led, and accountable by name

DataCenterPrep is run by a named founder who puts her name and her LinkedIn profile on the work. Company and go-to-market leadership is kept separate from technical review: our material is reviewed for technical accuracy by a practicing commissioning lead with 12 years on live sites before it ships. We do not publish their name: they review on condition their employer is not implicated in commercial material, which is a normal condition in this industry.

That separation is deliberate. It keeps the marketing honest and the technical claims credible, so what you prepare with reflects real practice.
